How Protected.net safely secured its own Cloud environment
About The Customer
Founded in 2016, UK-based Protected.net is a fast-growing Digital Native business providing award-winning security solutions to organisations worldwide. They engaged Appsbroker to conduct a Cloud Security Posture Review, as part of an initial one-year commit, to understand their current security state and establish a pathway for future improvements using Google Cloud.
The Challenge
The client wanted to secure their Cloud environment and grow their Google Cloud footprint in line with the business by utilising the skills and expertise of a trusted Google Cloud partner. They also hoped to leverage the benefits of Cloud Assure, including our Partner GCP Billing Model, to manage costs effectively.
The Solution
Via Professional Service Credits, Appsbroker evaluated the client’s Google Cloud estate by assessing six domains: Cloud Resource Mgt, IAM, Network Security, VM Machine Security, GKE and Data Security. Through Security workshops, we made recommendations on how to secure their cloud environment. Via Cloud Assure, we deliver spend reviews to help monitor and forecast their Google Cloud consumption.
The Benefits
The client utilised training and engagement opportunities around Security and Optimisation. Appsbroker assisted their Enterprise Security Architect by suggesting improvements and ways to ensure compliance with payment card industry (PCI) regulations. As part of a three-year commit, the client receives education on Google Cloud Spend Management best practices from Appsbroker.
