About the Customer

This global banking group offers debt financing, risk management and trading solutions to customers. Its subsidiary service and operating companies operate as one global business with shared customers across the UK, US, Asia Pacific, India and Europe.

Our Role

Appsbroker was engaged to support the customer’s internal team in the delivery of a SaaS solution provisioned on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and, follow SAFE practices to scope requirements and deliver in sprints as one of the scrum teams.

The Challenge

The customer required a review of technical design documentation and support in building a base platform using Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC). They wanted to improve data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and streamline operations for the business, plus advice on how best to package newly created micro-services into compliant container images, while fitting in with the existing build workflow.

The Solution

Appsbroker provided a pipeline to enable the delivery of workloads in a repeatable manner while meeting the non-functional requirements (NFR) of the applications. The customer now has a repeatable process for delivering scalable applications into GKE and a solid base to continue their modernisation activities, as well as enable other workloads to be delivered in the future.

The Benefits

Better infrastructure development and streamlined the data ingestion pipeline resulted in more efficient gathering, processing, and analysis of data, resulting in improved decision-making and risk management capabilities. It also improved compliance in line with industry standards thanks to a seamless workflow integration to minimise disruption and improve development and deployment efficiency.
